Length down Math Textbook:

I chose the units Finger, Finger Length and Yard, because Finger Length and Finger were both small measurments and would be easy to calibrate the 25.6 cm Math Textbook in these measurments. I chose the measurment Yard, because in America this is one of the most used  units of measurments.

My main choice of measurment for this book is Fingers, because 1 yard is already to big to measure the Math Textbook and the Finger Lengths, can change each time depending on the way you lay your finger length down.

To obtain my results I both measured my measurements out and used division with decimals to work out and find out if the results were accurate. As I  checked my answers twice I must conclude my answers are accurate.

Distance across the Classroom:

I chose the measurments Foot, Nail and Pace.

I chose these specific measurments because 2 of these measurments are not used in every day life and are unique, whilst the unit pace is known throughout most of the world, as a common measurment.

My final measurment of choice is the Pace, as this is a larger unit to measure a larger object or distance. I did not choose nail for the opposite reason: my nail is exactly 1cm, whilst the distance across the room is 709cm. I did not choose Foot, because you can either measure a foot barefooted or with a shoe, which brings me to my next point.

The accuracy of my results can be debatable. Firstly the nail is most certainly accurate, as all my caluculations are correct, 709 divided by 1 equals 709. When actually demonstrating a pace it changes every time, but I calculated my pace using division as well as with the foot measurments. I measured my foot to protect the accuracy of my results as when proving my calculations I was wearing shoes making it an incompatible measurment.

Depth of Wine Fridge:

I chose the measurments Half Finger, Inch and Palm/Hand, because an Inch is used in everyday life and Palm is self explanitory and an easy measurment to test by yourself. I chose Half Finger, becuase it is an uncommon measurment and does not take place in either the metric or imperial systems.

My final measurment of choice is the Inch, because it is still communly used. A Half Finger would have been too small for the distance as well as with the Palm/Hand.

I feel my work is accurate, as my calculations are correct and I have tested it out visualy with the units.

Circumfrance of Mum's Head:

I chose to use the units Hand Span, Cubit and Step. I chose these units because I thought the units Cubit and Hand Span would divide evenly into the number and I chose Step as I was interested to find out the  amount of times Mum's Head went into my step.

My final measurment of choice is the Cubit as it fits into my Mum's head 2.5 times exactly with no remainders. I could also use the Hand Span, but for this specific measurment and number  the Cubit is best. The step is bigger than the measurment of my Mum's Head. The step is 118.2cm, whilst the head is only 38.7cm.

I feel my work involving the Cubit is entirely accurate as I have checked my calculations twice. I feel my Hand  Span is accurate as I obtained my results by doing the caluclations as I decided if I visually measured it, it would be innaccurte. This is because each time the length can change as you can have a different width depending  how much you extend your hand. My step measurment and trials are all unfair and inaccurate as each time it changes too. I also did this using calculations. In Conclusion I believe all my work is accurate.

Distance across the T.V:

I chose to use the units Cubit, Fathom and Hand Span. I chose these units as they can each fit types of T.Vs.

Once again my unit of choice is the Cubit. The Hand Span is a very small unit, and the Fathom is too big a unit. For example the the T.V is 96.75cm and the Cubit goes in 2.5 times, the Fathom(160.1cm) goes in 0.6459 times, thus proving it is too large a unit and the Hand Span(14.5cm) goes in 6.6241 times, too small a unit.

My accuracy in these measurments are determind in my calculations and I agree to my calculations being correct. I also checked my calculations by measuring it out on the T.V with my body ruler measurments.
